There is a reason I, a lover of science-fiction in all it's vastness don't usually even visit Sci Fi Wire. You know what I'm talking about, that purported science fiction blog "powered" by the Sci-Fi Channel.

It's because of crap like this.

Yo, geek wannabe's, Trek has been and always will be "cool". Get over yourselves and stop comparing Obama to Spock, you're making me wanna cry.

I don't like that site, and I don't want to promote it, BUT, some things just have to be said. Head over there, and tell them they're the worst kind of posers. The movie was good, but I do feel that it sought to make Star Trek into something chewed up and reconstituted as "American Idol Trek".

That's my rant :)
